Exterior Supply, Inc. is a Greenwood, South Carolina Building Material supplier. The Exterior Supply Group Corporate StatementThe Exterior Supply Group is the result of a business started in 1979 by Michael L. Emily. Operating in South Carolina under the name of Greenwood Home Services, he was primarily engaged in residential new construction and renovation. As the need for a local source of distribution in vinyl products became apparent, Mr. Emily expanded his business to include a small office and warehouse for that purpose. The distribution business rapidly grew and by 1986 the construction division of the company was phased out, with all subsequent efforts directed exclusively toward developing the wholesale distribution business to its fullest potential. The company has grown through several expansions and currently consists of four locations. The original location in Greenwood, South Carolina followed by Elizabethtown, Kentucky, which opened in 1989. Jacksonville, Florida opened for business in 1991 and finally Somerset, Kentucky in 1997. Each operation is individually incorporated and operates both as a separate entity and as a member of a “Controlled Group of Corporations.” Local key management positions at each location are filled by significant stockholders. Exterior Supply continues to explore additional opportunities in other markets and anticipates further expansions as favorable combinations of interested partners and/or locations are identified. Exterior Supply distributes top quality specialty building products with a focus on vinyl siding and windows for residential construction. In addition, the Company sells many related items including vinyl and composite deck, rails & fence; fiber cement sidings and composite trim, entrance doors and hardware, aluminum trim coil and gutter, specialty tools, climbing equipment and many other specialty building products. Local specialty items such as pool cages and screen rooms in Jacksonville also complement the lineup with each location bringing their own special touch to the business. Specialty installations such as windows and house wrap in South Carolina further enhance the local offerings. Being the ultimate key to their past and ongoing success, Exterior Supply treats their customers with the utmost respect. Through an unwavering commitment in providing exceptional quality, in both products and service, they strive to achieve and maintain long lasting and mutually beneficial working relationships with their customers. The Exterior Supply Group has established itself as a respected leader throughout the Southeast, as well as in each local store’s respective communities. The Company actively participates in many civic organizations and trade associations at the local, state and national levels, and currently has one or more employees holding positions of office, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Southern Building Materials Association. The individual companies typically enroll locally with the Better Business Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce of their respective areas. Exterior Supply supports several charitable organizations at both the local and national level including the American Red Cross, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Boy Scouts of America, Campus Crusade for Christ and numerous missions and relief efforts in both the U.S. and abroad. Recently supported overseas missions include humanitarian relief efforts in Sierra Leone and medical missions in Nicaragua.
